The fauss group emerged from the Clearance Team Kaiserslautern and Crime Scene Cleanup Southwest. A conversation about this with the founder of the fauss group, Christopher Fauss-Travessa.

Mr. Fauss-Travessa, congratulations on your founding. As a young industrial mechanic, you were already traveling around the world, e.g. B. Morocco, Romania, Slovakia, China - Industry 4.0 included. So how does one become an entrepreneur in seemingly distant fields?

A conversation with Mr. Fauss-Travessa over the roofs of Kaiserslautern.

Mr. Fauss-Travessa: My experience in mechanical engineering and especially in other countries helped me a lot. Solving difficult projects, learning to see farsightedly, I would say thinking outside the box, that was something. That changed me.

You then became one of the youngest crime scene cleaners in Germany with a qualification you acquired in Kiel. Wasn't that an unusual step?

Mr. Fauss-Travessa: That's true. It's not that easy to explain. I wanted a special, new challenge, something really difficult. I wasn't so concerned with the sensational. It's an immense responsibility when you have to be able to do it one hundred percent.

After cleaning up the crime scene, you established the clearance team KL. Was that a logical next step?

Mr. Fauss-Travessa: You could almost say that. A great need for action arose from many discussions and agreements with customers and those affected. It was also really difficult stuff. Nice tips or great understanding didn't help much. You can't brood too long either. You have to tackle that. That was the evacuation team.

Now you are also an auctioneer and have completed special training in graffiti protection and graffiti removal. You may ask, what's next? Maybe the bachelor's degree in throwaway society management?

Mr. Fauss-Travessa: All jokes aside (laughs). The challenges keep getting bigger, but I don't want to overdo it. I observe a special kind of domino effect due to the many task areas and crime scenes. No crime scene is like the other. Clearing is not equal to clearing. Clearing out is not the same as clearing out. It shouldn't just be destroyed. Plans have to be made. Treasures come to light, and a home should also be preserved. Therefore also auctions, therefore also renovation and refurbishment. That's how the idea came about.

What do employees appreciate about working at the fauss group? In Germany, we not only have a shortage of skilled workers. The jobs are difficult too.

Mr. Fauss-Travessa: It is important for the employees to have insight into the processes and the cooperation in the team. They are a strong link in the chain and it is important for them that customers value them too. Further training as a very targeted improvement and no general gibberish, that also plays an important role. Of course we are always looking for reinforcements for our teams.

How do you see the future? What are the fauss group's next steps?

Mr. Fauss-Travessa: Observing and analyzing trends is important to us. When it comes to technical developments, we always want to stay up to date. Growing the company is definitely a goal. New possibilities and perspectives are always a topic of conversation with our customers and with our employees. We want to be a top contact. We're there, we're ready, we're getting down to business (laughs).
